1. Sum yourself up in 5 words.
Karmic, excitable, musical and random.
2. Your absolute worst experience performing or recording, any horrific stories you can share with us?
That’s a tough question as it’s very rare writing music becomes horrific. I think for the sheer “OH SHIT” factor, having to tell a Radio 1 DJ that you’ve accidentally deleted the track you’ve almost finished engineering for them would rank pretty high.
3. Transcendence is your upcoming release with Ambiel Music and I believe it means Climbing, To go beyond and Mastery amongst other things.
What you do you consider to be your greatest strengths within your creativity, things you’ve Mastered ( other than tracks:p ) I suppose, and also your weaknesses or things you feel you want improve on?
I think we could all do with a bit of transcendence in our lives. Whether we’re going beyond our past achievements, or rising above a stressful situation, I feel like life is about forward momentum. To that end I’m continually trying to improve on my production. Part of the production puzzle is of course how accurate your studio room & monitor setup is… mine is good but could be better, so that’s going to be something I’ll continue to invest in improving going forward.
4. Whom in your in your creative evolution has proved to be the biggest source of inspiration or which artist do you admire the most?
Something that I feel extremely lucky to have is a genuine love for all genres of music. I strongly believe that you get fantastic and awful music in every style, so I credit listening to (and sometimes writing) a wide variety of musical genres for a lot of my creativity. I do have musical preferences. for example… trance! Some big influences over the years are of course names like Dave Parkinson, old legends like BT, almost anything released / produced by Above & Beyond, M.I.K.E, John O’Callaghan, this list is getting really long!
